Everything you need to complete the training is included in the fees: Manuals and training materials, certification upon successful completion of components, all training dives, hire gear and air fills for training dives, travel from Auckland International Airport to Tauranga.
Not included: Air fares to and from NZ, accommodation, meals, local travel or car rental, adventure tourism activities.
You should register your interest immediately. We are limited to 10 international places available per year, so only the first eligible applicants will be granted a place at the Academy. For New Zealand residents there is no limit on numbers.
Yes. A non-refundable deposit of 25% will apply and will be payable at least 3 months before your course begins if you do not live in New Zealand, with the balance due on the day classes begin. This deposit will hold your place in the Academy open. For New Zealand residents a 25% non-refundable deposit needs to be paid at least one month before your course begins, and the balance of your fees are due no more than two weeks after beginning your course.
It is a NZ regulatory requirement that you must have a FULL medical for diving in New Zealand or undertaking dive training. We will send you the forms for this medical, which is NOT included in your training fees. A dive medical is not the same as the medical evidence of good health required for immigration/visa purposes.
You must be at least 18 years of age to enter the Academy and begin training.
We suggest you have travel insurance that covers scuba diving to a maximum depth of 30 metres. You should talk to your travel agent about this. For dive-specific travel insurance go to: www.daneurope.org. Under New Zealand law visitors are covered for injury from accidents through a government scheme. See the following for more infomation:

To undertake the NAUI Instructor course you will need to have minimum qualifications. However, for the PADI or NAUI Divemaster training, no previous diving experience is required.
Some of the training you will undertake will involve topics such as physics and physiology. You will also be working with New Zealanders, occasionally young people and/or retail customers. You will need to have good English speaking skills and comprehension to study in these classes and complete the practical training.
Courses begin on the dates shown on the training intake page of our website. Courses will run concurrently, regardless of the training agency or level of course. Contact us for more details.
